If you live in a city as cold as Ottawa, you might know the struggles of wearing the same coat, same boots, and same winter accessories for the past few months. Thankfully it’s gotten a little warmer and sunnier (I can see you coming, spring!), so I ditched my bulky winter coat and boots for something more chic today.
And being me, I even pulled out one of my summer pieces in extra excitement for warmer weather.
I love pairing summer clothing with a nice coat or sweater for an easy transitional spring look.
It makes great use of my wardrobe, and after a couple of months of winter, it feels so refreshing to switch out of sweaters and into a little romper. I regularly wear this black floral romper in the summer, and threw a long green coat over it for warmth. It also has huge pockets, which are amazing for stuffing my hands in when it gets chilly! I wore tights and these Paul Green booties to make this outfit more weather- appropriate. Paul Green is my absolute favourite brand for boots: comfy, classy, and so sleek!
- Coat: Club Monaco (sold out, similar here and here)
- Romper: Club Monaco (sold out, similar here and here)
- Shoes: Paul Green suede booties
- Bag: Burberry reversible tote (sold out, similar here) & Burberry Thomas bear charm
I’ve got some exciting things planned for this weekend, including lots of hangouts with friends and a Galentine’s brunch. I only heard of Galentine’s this year, and am super excited to meet dozens of other like-minded and local girls. Hope everyone is enjoying this warmer weather and have a great weekend!
